About Brayden
Brayden Kirkbright is a dedicated fighter and PT coach at Element Martial Arts, known for leading by example and combining discipline, efficiency, and effort in every session. His coaching philosophy is simple: train what works under pressure, communicate clearly, and don’t overcomplicate things.
Brayden first got into training while serving in the army. He wanted a sport that kept him fit during low-tempo periods, while also developing skills that could benefit him both personally and professionally. What started as practical training quickly became a passion for testing himself, pushing limits, and striving for improvement every day.
When coaching beginners, Brayden focuses on building strong foundations and good habits, leaning on students’ strengths while developing weaker areas, whether for fitness or fighting. For intermediate and advanced athletes, he hones their base into a solid strategy, testing skills under pressure and making small technical adjustments so they can compete confidently.
Brayden’s motivation comes from the process and the results — the satisfaction of putting in hard work, achieving personal goals, and passing on the skills he’s been fortunate to learn. He’s proudest of performing and winning in front of family and friends, showing the payoff of disciplined preparation.
One of the core mindsets Brayden instills in his students is mental confidence through preparation. For fighters, that means discipline, hard work, and trusting their training. For those training for fitness or self-defense, it’s about showing up consistently and stacking small wins every day.
Outside the gym, Brayden surprises people with his personality: he loves fighting and competing in martial arts, but he doesn’t like conflict or confrontation at all — proving that passion for the sport and personal temperament can coexist.
